Am I the only person that will join a gym or fitness camp and then absolutely not go? Ok I’m glad I’m not alone in this. Camp Gladiator offered a $9 special for the month of September to attend as many classes as your heart, mind, and body desired. OF COURSE I signed up. It was $9 for Camp Gladiator!! How many classes did I actually attend? A BIG FAT ZERO! I could make up all the excuses in the world as to why I didn’t go, but it all boils down to I just didn’t go. Sure $9 doesn’t seem like a lot, but I wasted $9 that could’ve been used for something else OR I could’ve just gone to class and used it to improve on me. LE SIGH!

******Since I made this post on yesterday, Camp Gladiator emailed me and they have transferred my sign up for me to attend the 10/9/17-11/4/17 camp. THEY WANT TO KILL ME!!!******

I needed to get that out before I proceeded to tell you all about Week 2 of my Fitness Journey with The Green House Salad Company. Like I told you in last week’s post, I was excited that I got my schedule together for which days I would The Green House Salad Company. You would think with my frequency of visits, I would know each and everything about their menu, but this week I learned that I did not. On Tuesday I decided that I was going to try The Border with romaine instead of iceberg, grilled chicken, corn, no black beans, jalapenos, no black olives, avocado, and jalapeno strips. I used half a container of spicy ranch dressing and half a container of raspberry walnut vinaigrette. This salad packed a punch, my tongue was on fire several times, and I LIKED it!

On this visit, I learned that The Green House Salad Co serves cups of fruit. If you’ve been following along with my posts about this journey, I know you have seen a picture that I took that had cups of fruit and freshly squeezed juices in a bin of ice. When taking that picture and even looking at it, all I saw was juice. I didn’t notice the fruit cups and didn’t even focus on them. Even on this visit I didn’t notice them until my lunch date Brandy, came to the table with one. Who knew? I didn’t! All this time, I would eat a piece of chocolate or something after my salad to help my sweets craving and I could’ve just gotten a cup of fruit for later.

On Wednesday, I decided to get the Bowl Scraper, but instead of croutons, I opted for the jalapeno strips because jalapeno strips. Can you really go wrong with jalapeno strips? Because I enjoyed the combination of the spicy ranch and raspberry walnut vinaigrette, I stuck with that dressing combo. On this visit, I learned that I have been telling you all the wrong price on the salads. The salads are not $8.75 like I had previously told you. They are actually priced at $8.95 and they are worth every bit of that extra $.20 and more.

On Saturday, I woke up feeling absolutely horrible after a night out with friends. I knew that I didn’t want one of the signature salads so I decided to create my own salad. While looking at the menu to decide exactly what I wanted, I noticed that The Green House Salad Co not only offers salads, but they offer pitas as well. WHO KNEW THIS?!?! I sure didn’t know this. I think at times when I visit places, I’m so focused on what I want or getting, that I completely ignore everything else. I ended up with a spinach, red onions, tomatoes, red roasted shrimp, and feta cheese salad, but the pita is definitely on my list for this week.

In addition to my salads for this week, I also decided to try out HelloFresh for some dinners. I found a $40 off coupon for my first week of meals which made 3 meals for 2 people only $19.94! You canNOT beat that deal! 3 meals. 2 people. Shrimp. Chicken. Pork loin. 6 servings. $19.94! Want to get in on that deal? Click here and save your own $40 today! Remember, HelloFresh allows you to cancel your service at anytime if you decide that you don’t want it anymore.

Exercise for Week 2 included walking through my neighborhood on 2 afternoons. This past week was so HOT and me and extreme heat do not do well together. It didn’t start to cool off until the weekend and by then, Friday had done its damage on me. BLAH!

This week I’m looking forward to telling you all about the pitas I’m going to try at The Green House Salad Co and my HelloFresh meals that were delivered on Friday. Even though Friday did a number on me, I am already starting to receive comments from friends and family that are noticing that I am losing weight already. That’s exciting and honestly it is motivating me to do even more.  I’m  looking to do more for exercise, but not Camp Gladiator extreme yet. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I’m pretty convinced that I need to become independently wealthy so that I can have a personal trainer come to my house a few days a week and we go from there.

Does anyone want to pitch in to my “Help Jada become Independently Wealthy Fund”? No? Ok! Who’s available to join me for lunch or dinner this week at The Green House Salad Co?

Jazz and I broke out the Wii fit board. We used it once then stopped. The plan is to pick it back up again and make it a routine!
